JUDr. Karel Pippich (1849-1921)
Throughout his life, Karel Pippich dedicated himself to activity in the gymnastic organization Sokol. The Eastern Bohemia Sokol district was named after him in appreciation of his work in the organization, and the district also dedicated a plaque to his memory.
Dr. Pippich was a Chrudim attorney whose other talents were playwright, musician, and occasional poet.
Dr. Pippich and other members of his family are interred in the Holy Cross churchyard.
The Chrudim theater bears his name.
