Jan Nepomuk Stepanek
Following graduation from the Gymnasium in Prague, Stepanek joined the Stavovske*) theater, then perhaps the most prominent in the country. Here he functioned as prompter, actor, co-director, secretary and treasurer, but above all, he was a dramatic actor, one of the most productive in Bohemia. He produced 130 various works of which many are performed in theaters today.
