This is an extensive two-story building with a baroque façade; a stone Madonna a faces the square. The building was designed and built by Frantisek Koci of Chrudim. It is in the gothic-renaissance style, and the earliest mention of the building dates to the first half of the 16th century.

Its spacious cellars extend under the square.

The stone portal consists of two half-columns with the emblem of the Czech Kingdom centered in between. Several Latin inscriptions adorn the portal:

"Vive deo et proximitati cogitans eternitatem" (Live for God and fellow-man [while] contemplating eternity) "Ora et labora et Deus providebit" (Pray and labor, and God will provide) "Quid valet hic mundus, quid gloria, quidve trimphus, post miserum funus pulvis et umbra sumus" (Of what worth is this world, glory and triumph; after a wretched funeral we are but dust and shadow) "Si custodieris omnia mandata Domini Dei, tu benedictus eris ingrediens et egrediens" (Keep all commands of the Lord God and you will be blessed entering and exiting).

A stone plaque with a double-headed eagle emblem is in place above the portal.
