Located in the vicinity of the Capuchin monastery, this church was consecrated in 1665. The so-called "God's tomb" is located under the church in the sacral space with contiguous passages. Here one also finds statuary illustrating the passion of Christ. The tomb is open to visitors at Easter, and during the Chrudim pilgrimage.

The Capuchin monastery ceased to function as a church community with the departure of the last monks after World War II, on 6 July 1949.

Consequently the church was also deconsecrated. New uses for the church have not been decided upon.

The monastery has drawn wide public interest because of  a tale about  a headless monk that is associated with it.
