Town Flag and Coat of Arms

The coat of arms consists of a black eagle with red arms and tongue, on a silver shield facing left (viewed from the front). Its first use was in 1830. Other variants of the coat of arms were also used, both officially and privately. The coat of arms placed on the façade of the city hall is considered to be correct as to image and colors. It has been used since 1903.
